Alloy is a small unincorporated community located in Fayette County, West Virginia, United States. It is situated along West Virginia Route 61, about 20 miles south of the city of Charleston. The community is named after the nearby Alloy Plant, a large aluminum smelter operated by Century Aluminum Company. The plant employs over 500 workers and produces approximately 250,000 metric tons of aluminum per year. Alloy also has a small business district, community center, and several churches. The surrounding area offers opportunities for outdoor recreation, including fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping.
